Being middle class

Today I had to make a very difficult journey: from the Barbican (built in the 1960s in London for the upper-middle class) to
Balshagray Avenue
(built in the 1890s in Glasgow for the upper-middle class).

Because of the horrible weather, it took me a couple of hours more than it should have.

I spent some of the delayed hours in Gatwick having some oysters and muscadet, and doing the Guardian Sudoku to alleviate my boredom.

And thinking about how strange that would have seemed to my grandparents.
